Yes, we also offer free second opinions.

Does my A/C unit need to be maintained annually?

Yes, all A/C units should be cleaned and maintained. Yard debris and insects can build up quickly. We recommend twice a year.

What should a homeowner do if the A/C unit quits working?

Check your breakers, turn them on and off. check your filter. is it clean? Check the thermostat for correct settings. If none of this works call the pros, Air Hawk Heating and Cooling.

How long does a A/C system last?

What is SEER?

Seasonal energy efficiency ratio. In short this means how efficient your system is. The higher the SEER rating the less energy the unit will use.

Do I have to replace my duct work too?

If your duct work is over 20 years old we recommend replacing it.

Is my existing duct work compatible with my new system?

In most cases yes however, a small modification might be needed if the duct work is too small.

Is my unit under warranty?

Most manufacturers offer a ten year warranty on their equipment.

How often should I change my filters?

You should check your filter every 30 days. This prevents a build up of dirt which causes the system to work harder.

Should I turn off the system if it’s not working?

Yes, if checking the basics didn’t help then you should turn the system off.

My unit is producing an odor?
